Today Microsoft announced a new wave of improvements in the Microsoft MVP Award Program.  It ushers in more agility, and enables enhanced learning opportunities for all MVPs through a series of new benefits.  Some of these changes include

  • Faster recognition of new MVPs: In the new model, new MVPs will be reviewed and awarded every month, practically in real-time.
  • A single annual review model for re-awarding MVPs, with one unified celebration for all active MVPs on July 1st of every year.
  • New benefits for MVPs: Microsoft is focusing on benefits related to learning that directly help MVPs improve their technical skills and knowledge. These include free access to Xamarin University, a 50% discount for two MCP exams per year, and early registration to the Build Conference.

Finally, Microsoft released an MVP API that will help MVPs to collaborate with the program and build innovative apps that will enhance our own MVP experience.
